Visual Arts LSA Pro D Workshop Instructor: Natasha Harvey This workshop will teach mixed media techniques. It will combine the application of collage, acrylic painting and drawing to create a dynamic artwork full of context and narrative. Technical aspects for creating a two-dimensional work of art will be discussed such as composition, colour theory and painting and drawing procedures. Application technique for collage will be demonstrated. Materials explored will be: acrylic paint, pencil, charcoal, collage material, acrylic medium, paint brushes and canvases or watercolour paper. Participants must bring their own watercolour paper or canvas, recommended minimum size - 11" x 14" and some personal collaging materials Full Day workshop: 10:45-12:15 Collage techniques shown with emphasis on composition and context. 1:00-2:30 Painting and drawing to complete the collaged work.
