Teens 101 is a multi media initiative towards reaching, guiding, empowering, inspiring youth through the issues that can affect their mental health and well being. This is session is an overview of the ERAC BC Digital Classroom’s new resource TEENS 101. The resource is comprised of 13 short videos depicting a re-enactment of real-life experiences intended to help reduce stigma surrounding these topics and continue to promote an environment of greater understanding, support and acceptance in our society today. A teacher guide is included to help facilitate for students of teenage years a better understanding of issues such as, Addiction, LGBTQ Community, First Nation Issues, Mental Illness such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicide. This resource would be of particular interest to teachers who work with students in Grades 8-12. This resource is licensed for use by Grade 8-12 teachers in BC.
