What are the best ways that students can create online citations, take notes, and assess sources? We'll explore free (Google, Citethisforme, etc.) and paid sites (NoodleTools, district databases), as well as explore options in Google Classroom. You'll leave with ideas on where to send students for research, note taking, and bibliographies as well as with tips on how to guide student use of these sites. We'll do a lot of hands- on learning and discuss pros and cons of various resources, including discuss ideas on how to differentiate learning with them. Please bring a computer.
I've been teaching in SD23 since 2001, and a full-time teacher-librarian since 2015. I'm passionate about research and teaching our students critical skills that they can continue to use as adults.
